Around the World Quilt Top Q33

Around the World quilt top

This quilt was made from scrap fabric during the 1930's when Christi Holston's grandfather, Jack Curran, (father of Betty Curran Diercks) was out of work during the Depression.  He used a square piece of wood to cut the pattern.  One quilt was completed, but 2 were left unfinished after he was called to work for the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) to construct wooden fences around the perimeter of Brookfield Zoo.
